Stephen Balliet (1753-1821)
Early Life
Stephen Balliet was born in 1753 to Paulus Balliet and Maria Magdalena Wotring [1]. Stephen Balliet was a colonel in the Revolutionary army and was involved in the battle of Brandywine in 1777 [2].
Family
Stephen Balliet married Magdalena Burgalter (1765-1805) [3].
Later Life
In 1789, Stephen Balliet was elected to the House of Representatives in Harrisburg, PA [4]. Then, in 1797, Stephen Balliet was authorized as revenue collector for the Second District of Pennsylvania [5]. STephen Balliet passed away on August 4, 1821.
